Day 1 – Nairobi
Transfer from JKI Airport to your Nairobi hotel. Overnight on bend and breakfast basis. Depending on your arrival flight you have the opportunity to engage in optional activities in Nairobi this afternoon. We recommend a lunch at the carnivore Restaurant followed by a visit to Karen Blixen Museum and AFEW Giraffe Center. Try a guided city tour of Nairobi.

Overnight: at Hotel in Nairobi (BB)

Day 2 – Treehotel in Mount Kenya/Aberdares
After breakfast drive north to the Aberdare Mountains and Mount Kenya region to your Treehotel, for a night of watching animals come to the floodlit water hole. This is pure theatre… a great way to introduce you to your safari. This area is home of the Kikuyu tribe.

Overnight: tree lodge is Aberdares or Mount Kenya (LDBB)

Accommodation option: Mountain lodge, Treetops or The Ark.

Day 3 – Samburu/Shaba national Reserve – home of the “SURVIVOR” Series
Drive into Kenya’s rugged northeastern region, home of the colorful Samburu tribe, crossing the Equator en route. Arrive at your riverside lodge around noon. In the late afternoon there will be game drive in this park, a home to some unique animals like the Grevy Zebra and Reticulated Giraffe. Also good for riverlife with crocs and hippos.

Overnight: Lodge Shaba/Samburu (LDBB)

Accommodation options: Samburu Serena Lodge, Sarova Shaba Lodge or Samburu Lodge.

Day 4 – Samburu /Shaba National Reserve – home of the “SURVIVORS” Series
Early morning and afternoon game drive.

Overnight: Lodge in Shaba/Samburu (LDBB)

Accommodation options: Samburu Serena Lodge, Sarova Shaba lodge or Samburu lodge.

Day 5 – Lake Nakuru
Drive east and continue down into the Great Rift Valley to lake Nakuru National Park. Afternoon game drive in this compact little park famous for its flamingos and other bird life, and for Leopard, Elephant, Buck and many other species. Lunch, dinner, bed and breakfast at your lodge. Overnight: Lodge/camp in Lake Nakuru (LDBB) Accommodation options: Mbweha Camp, Lion Hill Lodge or Lake Nakuru Lodge.

Day 6- Masai
Continue through the Great Rift Valley and its extinct volcanoes into the land of the famous Masai tribe, and into the wildlife reserve named after them. This is Kenya’s most famous reserve, and in your afternoon game drive you will have the opportunity to seek out the “Big Five” Lion, Leopard, Elephant, Rhino and Buffalo and all other species which have made this reserve so famous. Lunch, dinner, bed and breakfast at your camp. Optional: Visit to Local Masai Village in the afternoon. Overnight: Lodge/camp in Mara (LDBB) Accommodation options: Mara Serena Lodge, Siana Interpids Camp or Fig Tree Camp.
