Countries, including Uganda are encouraging all travelers to the country have a complete COVID 19 vaccine and PCR Test to enjoy the beautiful country
A press statement was issued on the 05th May, 2021 in Kampala, the Capital city of Uganda by the Hon. Minister of Health Dr. Jane Ruth Aceng Ocero.
In her statement she directed that all arriving passengers from category 1 and 2 countries will be subjected to the PCR Covid 19 test at all points of entry including Entebbe International Airport.
As of now the affected countries include:
Category 1: India
Category 2: United Sates of America, United Kingdom, United Arabs Emirates (UAE) Turkey, South Africa, Ethiopia, Kenya, South Sudan, and Tanzania.
Category 3: All countries not in category 1 & 2. These will not be subject to PCR Tests.
Please note that individuals from category 2 who have received full COVID 19 vaccination and have no signs of COVID 19 will be exempted from the PCR Tests. It has therefore been agreed that PCR testing starts on Saturday 08th May, 2021.
