Day 1: Entebbe international airport – Kampala
Your will board your home departing flight to Entebbe International airport, On arrival you will meet with Ababa Uganda Safaris representative who will make a transfer for your to your booked hotel in Kampala, for overnight.
Day 2: Kampala City Tour
After breakfast in the morning, your guide will pick you at 0900hrs to start a cultural/religious tour of the city of Kampala to the different sites that will include a visit Kabaka’s (kings) Lake and Palace, The Kasubi Tombs this is the burial ground site for the Buganda kingdom kings, Museum. The tour will break for Lunch in the selected city Restaurant. After continue with the tour to Namugongo martyrs shrine of both the Anglicans and Catholics, and return to the city center to Nakasero mrket to sample out fruits before you return to you Hotel in Kampala for overnight on bed and breakfast only.
Day 3: Kampala City – Jinja (Source of the Nile) on 21 days long safari
Today at 0800hrs after your breakfast, depart to Jinja town that is found in eastern part of Uganda via Ssezibwa falls known in the area as a magical falls to see the spiritual healing waters, later proceed to Mabira forest for a short walk before heading for lunch near the sounds of river Nile waters, In the afternoon, go for the source of the Nile boat tour to observe the point of the actual water source. If time allows then will reach out to the Jinja town biggest market before going to checking to your hotel for overnight.
Day 4: Jinja Town tour
After breakfast visit Bujagali Falls (Optional activities that can be done on this day include: White water rafting, Quad Biking, Bungy Jump, Horse ride, if you are interested in adding up any of the activities, please lets know so we can include the price and make abooking in advance), lunch at the falls and afternoon tour of Kakira sugar works in Jinja, dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Jinja – Mbale (Visit to Sippi Falls)
After breakfast depart to sippi falls found on the slopes of Mount Elgon, Mbale, and You will be served with Lunch at Mbale Resort hotel before proceeding for an afternoon hike to te sippi falls before check in to Luxury Sippi Falls Safari Lodge or Budget Crow’s Nest where you will have your dinner and overnight.
Day 6: Sippi Falls Activities
This morning after your breakfast you will be guide for a walk to all the three water falls of Sipi on the mount Elgon slops, this will go up to your lunch which will be served as picnic on a good reflected nice views to the falls, In the afternoon, head to experience the Elgon culture or the Bamasaba people that live a round here. They will entertain depending on the days weather, return later in the evening for dinner and overnight to your accommodation.
Day 7: Sippi Falls – Kampala
Early breakfast will be served and hit the road to return to K’la, via Tororo and Jinja, en-route there will be a lunch stop at Sunset or Nile Resort hotel to enjoy the traditional dishes served here before proceeding, arrive for dinner and overnight to your hotel.
Optional activities on this route: Visit to Ngora Rock paintings of the Stone Age, Hiking the Tororo, of experience local food joint.
Day 8: Kampala – Murchison Falls National Park
A pleasantly planned safari begins at 08:00am when your guide takes you for a drive on northward pleasant safari which will include you’re a lunch stop in Masindi before proceeding to the Murchison falls. Upon arrival at the park, you will begin to encounter with variety of birds, monkeys, and baboons in the cool Budongo forest as you are guided along. An opportunity to enjoy the mighty falls views at the top before crossing the river Nile to your hotel for overnight
Day 9: Murchison Falls National Park
An early morning game drive at 07:00am enables you to see some of the large mammals that include; lion, leopard, elephant, hippopotamus, Rothschild’s giraffe, Cape buffalo, hartebeest, oribi, warthog, and Uganda kob. And if you are lucky this morning you will spot the famous shoe bill that always loiters around the Nile delta. In the afternoon, you will enjoy the Launch at sun downer to the bottom of the falls, a three hours launch trip enable you to see some animals that come to the banks of the River Nile to drink water, some come to sun bathe as the Nile provides a corridor year-round water for these animals as well as a plethora of water birds (including the rare shoebill stork) and Uganda’s largest population of Nile crocodile. And animals like: – crocodiles, hippos and elephants will be seen here before you return to your hotel for overnight
Day 10: Murchison Falls National Park – Kibale Forest National Park
Drive to Kibale National Park after breakfast through Hoima Kyenjojo road, and on entering Kyenjojo you will begin to enjoy the tea estates well maintained, nice to take a photo shot, arrive to Fort portal for your lunch. In the afternoon if there is still some time, drive to Amabere Nyinamweru caves for a crater walk, with very good views of Rwenzori Mountains ranges, leave to your hotel check in dinner and night on full board.
Day 11: From Fort Portal – Semuliki National Park
Morning Game drive in the morning at the reserve searching for different early morning cats and antelopes, this is a breathtaking experience that rewards birders and nature lovers. The drive takes one up to the river Semuliki the only one of its type in East Africa. After lunch, proceed to sempaya hot springs, also a chance to visit the integrated Ntandi pygmy village to see the lifestyles of the Bushmen. You can also participate in a dance with these early inhabitants of the forest, return for dinner and overnight.
Day 12: Fort Portal Town
Visit the vibrant and colorful city of Fort Portal, with its unique cultural monarchy, its instantaneous king was enthroned as 4 year old boy. Tour of Tooro – Royal Palace, the nearby church and the Karambi graves, the burial place of the kings. After a lunch trip to the crater landscape with fantastic views of the mountains of the Rwenzori. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 13: Kibale Forest National Park – Queen Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast leave for Queen Elizabeth National Park to the Northern Sector of Mweya, if you are lucky might see some of these animals resting under the trees. Arrive in the early afternoon feel the real fresh air of your accommodation that you will stay tonight, Check – in, lunch then an evening game drive will crown this day with dinner and over night.
Day 14: Queen Elizabeth National Park
After an early morning warm up cup of tea/coffee procedure for an early risers game drive that start at 6:30 am depending on which accommodation you are using, we head for the cats as they are going back to their hiding places. Expect to spot common animals that can be easily seen like the elephants, spotted hyenas, leopards as they duck to ambush weak animals beginning to graze, lions, and hippopotamus going back to the water. After these games drive that will last for 2-3hours, you will return to the hotel for full breakfast before then head for interesting landscape scenery drive. Later Lunch at the hotel and relax to refresh as you wait for afternoon boat ride to Kazinga channel, good time to spot different species of birds and animals at close range, return your accommodation for dinner and overnight.
Day 15: Queen Elizabeth National Park – Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park
Early morning departure to the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park for game drive searching for tree climbing Lions and other animals, to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, forest a village walk to the pygmies people who will show their traditional dance and aircraft made from the forest lunch, dinner and overnight.
Day 16: Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park – Lake Bunyonyi
( 4-5hrs Gorilla Tracking, 2 hours Village / Nature walk)
After an early breakfast and packed food for lunch you will head for a briefing by a ranger guide at the park headquarters, you will then enter the forest depending on where your gorilla group is located today for your gorilla trekking adventure. The beauty of this rain forest is spectacular. The area offers dramatic steeply forested landscape and is incredibly dense, but criss-crossed by numerous animal trails allowing access to tourists. The time taken and the terrain vary with the movements of these great primates. The thrill of spending time observing these gentle and endangered giants is an awesome, exciting experience to be long savored. Many find it to be a rare and moving moment to come up close with a mountain gorilla. Return back later in the afternoon to transfer to Lake Bunyonyi to your hotel of stay for dinner and overnight.
Day 17: Lake Bunyonyi activities on this 21 days long safari
Your breakfast shall be served by 07:30am; then go for a boat ride/nature walk at 08:30am, the exotic bird species, the panorama of the highlands, the lake and its Islands with the volcanoes in the background form a breath taking view. Visit the punishment, the upside down island, Dr Sharps Islands, Buwama Island ( where the Dr Built the Hospital, a School and a church) There is Both a Primary School and a secondary school, transport here is by canoes for this students, Before Lunch a visit to the visit the Bahezi people, then lunch will be served. Later; freshen up, relax or swim, dinner overnight.
Day 18: Lake Bunyonyi – Lake Mburo National Park
after enjoying this cold site on this 21 days long safari, take breakfast and drive off to Lake Mburo National Park which is a 4 hours drive. Go for a game drive to view impalas, elephants, buffaloes, elands and zebras. Rest have lunch, dinner and overnight.
Day 19: Lake Mburo National Park
Your breakfast will be served at 07:00am on this 21 days long safari before you leave for a nature walks to the different areas of interest like the Nakivale wet land which is associated with fresh water and plains of seasonal floods which are permanent, this is an opportunity to see some animals as they graze and go back to their hiding places, this include Hippopotamus, Buffalo’s, and many more that are around the swamp drinking water. You will return back to the camp for traditionally prepared delicious lunch then take a boat ride on the lake where different species of plants, animals in water bucks crocodiles, birds and many more are seen clearly when on boat trips. Dinner and overnight.
Day 20: Lake Mburo National Park – Kampala
Lake Mburo National park being the smallest in Uganda, is the last day your driver will drive you out of the park to almost end this 21 days long safari, A walk in the morning after a late breakfast do a short game drive then drive back to Kampala. With a stop in Masaka for Lunch and then continue, after Masaka town stop at the Equator for Tea/Coffee break and buying souvenirs. Proceed to Kampala for overnight.
Day 21: Kampala – Entebbe
on your last day of 21 days long safari, this morning you will shopping, a visit to Nakasero and craft shop market in Kampala sample out all the unique souvenirs that you can take back home, Lunch in the town at a restaurant, the last dinner if you are leaving very late in the night, will be served at your accommodation where you spent previously, later transfer to Entebbe International Airport to catch your night flight back to home.
