This 8 Days/ 7 Nights to Mountain Elgon is fast emerging as a popular destination for budget trekking, for short holiday hikers at least when compared with the cost of climbing the Rwenzori Mountains or Mt Kilimanjaro in Tanzania. The most activity start with the Visit to a cultural site in Kampala at Namugongo Shrine, Magical waters in Mukono of Sazibwa falls, a Natural Forest of Mabira before a night in Jinja the home to the Source of the Nile, then ending Up to Mountain Elgon in Mbale and Kapchorawa districts for the hiking.

Day 1: Arrival to Entebbe international Airport and transfer to your hotel.
Day 2: From Kampala – via Mabira Forest – Jinja town
Day 3: Jinja Town – Mount Elgon National Park
Day 4: Mount Elgon Hiking – Piswa
Day 5: Continue from Piswa – Hunters cave Camp.
Day 7: Mude camp – Kampala or Entebbe Airport
Day 8:Kampala – Entebbe International Airport
Day 1: Arrival to Entebbe international Airport and transfer to your hotel.
You will arrive Entebbe airport to be met and greeted by your driver guide from Ababa Uganda Safaris. Transfer to hotel of your choice (Hotel is Optional)in Kampala or Entebbe and subsequent briefing about the whole trip details.

Day 2: From Kampala – via Mabira Forest – Jinja town
Your breakfast will be served at the hotel restaurant at 07:00am before you depart Kampala. Your driver /Guide then welcome you for a drive out of the busy city to visiting en-route Namugongo martyrs shrines, and the magical falls of Ssezibwa falls before you head for your Lunch at the Forest Lodge located in the middle of Mabira forest, after go for for briefing before you enter in Mabira forest for an afternoon walk. Later transfer to the source of the Nile (depending on the time of arrival in Jinja, this can be shifted to next days activity) will mark the end of the day with a check in to you hotel of Choice here and overnight.

Day 3: Jinja Town – Mount Elgon National Park
Early this morning at 07:00am, you will have your breakfast and drive towards East wards to Mbale town for lunch, then later end up to the slopes of Mount Elgon, this afternoon you will go straight for a Sipi falls walk. Depending on your strength, could go to other falls around here too, end up to your hotel for dinner and overnight

Day 4: Mount Elgon Hiking – Piswa
Having had your early breakfast from the hotel, you will embark on the hike following the Kapkwata Trail to Piswa Camp which stands at 2850 meters through a panoramic view of bamboo, heath and moorland. While here you will have your picnic Mid morning break, then after you long relax here, lunch, then Dinner on the Mountain camp on full board (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner)
Day 5: Continue from Piswa – Hunters cave Camp.
The morning has yet come again for another upward Climb to check out the calderas through columns of Lobelia Elgonensis. Pass by the Hot Springs and Suam Gorge for some great sceneries good for photographs before descending to the Hunters cave Camp 3850m for overnight on full board (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner)
Day 6: From Hunters cave Camp – Wagagai – Mude Camp
Warm your self up with breakfast served in this cold height, then climb to the top of the calderas to the Wagagai Peak at 4321m. Go down the mountain through the Jackson summit and the Jackson pool to spending a good cold night at Mude Camp on full board (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner)
Day 7: Mude camp – Kampala or Entebbe Airport
At an early morning, it would be good you take a hot drink before you go through Sasa trail to Budadiri to transfer back to Kampala for overnight stay at you hotel of choice or if you have a flight to catch transfer to the Airport.

Day 8:Kampala – Entebbe International Airport
Morning shopping, a visit to Nakasero and craft shop market in Kampala, Lunch in the town at Nandos, dinner at Namirembe Guest House, transfer to Entebbe International Airport to catch your night flight back to home.
